Pacific Palisades Front Porch Update

I started this photography project because I wanted to capture the love, joy and cheer of families in the face of hardship during these challenging times. Our lives had been put on pause because of COVID-19 and I wanted to show how we were all adjusting to the new normal by relying on our shared communal values of gratitude, perseverance and hope.

I scheduled 5 minute socially distanced “Front Porch Photo Sessions” in exchange for a donation to the Westside Food Bank. I gave each family their high resolution digital images via a link and posted many of the images on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #PacificPalisadesFrontPorch

I worked on this project for 44 days straight (with the exception of Mother’s Day, which I took off)

I photographed 160 families and raised over $17,000 for the Westside Food Bank…that is 68,000 meals!

This has been an unbelievable experience.  I love that I was able to help those in need through the use of my skills and passion. I met so many amazing generous families in our Pacific Palisades community and have helped people smile during this crazy time. It has been exhausting and rewarding at the same time.

Through taking initiative, I have learned that to is possible to make a difference … thank you to all that have donated.
